i have a couple things on my mind that i will share wit yall.... im not trying to cause friction at all but i just can see the reason for there to be 30-45 mins between heats.. thats more than i get in real drag racing.... ive only been to fbf twice and its the longest dragged out day i can have ever imagined because of the down time between runs. i was there with another racer that had nothing but issues with his car and everyone was waiting for him to qualify, well thats all well and good but not fair to those that came prepared. if your vehicle is not ready before you arrive that that should be your tough luck... there are many competitors that are ready to race and so are their machines and thats the way it should be. when i compete at the real drag strip , if im not in the lanes in time than thats tough shit for me im out that race. quick suggestion coming from the 1:1 drag scene where i run... ok say i show to the race and cant make the qualifier cause my starter went, however i have a starter and could simply replace it and be ready for the next time around, well im beat, BUT am i??? well here is the reason i love the one track i run at... for all the people that loose 1st and 2nd round of eliminations they have an organized race for the loosers to get back on the track, so this is were i can get my ass back in the game! anyhow how it works is like i said 1st and 2nd round loosers line up and for the 1:1 we through in $20 per car which is a bit much for the large scalers to be paying, but anyhow we all pay the $ and we race for that $ .....its split 70/30 or if the 2 drivers agree its split 50/50... doing it this way allows the 1st and 2nd round losers and the guys that didnt make the qualifier get a chance to compete without going home with a bade taste in their mouth... problem is with the 30-45 min between heat crap, you would finish running by 10pm! especially if we are running multiple classes... i do think the time needs to be tightened up by alot.... its frustrating going all the way there and staying from 11 to 5 and seeing more tuning than racing....

i look at it this way, like regular offroad rc race before your heat u start your car ,after 5minutes,
if the car wont start thats it ..youll be mark DNS(DID NOT START) then on ur 2nd heat if u start just run it but youll be marked (DNQ) DID NOT QUALIFY since u only ran 1 heat ..if it didnt start again on the 2nd heat then youre marked DNF (DID NOT FINISH)..am i right??

its not a problem of being there all day, it would just be nice to be able get in more run time than bench time... if it were over sooner you could run grudge matches or gamblers runs, so its not like you would have to pack up and go home.

Me personally, I think 30-45 minutes between races is a bit long, if we have 30 guys there, that means we would run a 15 races first round, which means at 45 minutes each, we spent 6 1/2 hours to run the first round!
I can see waiting 45 minutes between different events like a regular round of racing and when thats done, run some grudge match's 45 minutes later.

I think in a race event bigger then 15 racers, we should only break 10 minutes between rounds and 30-45 minutes between events.

Running a day with 32 guys would be.... First round best 16 second round best 8, 4, then top 2 till a winner, at 30 minutes between races it would have to be a 2 day event!

Again, this is just my personal opinion and I have no say it what the club decides to go with.
30 minutes between races if we had 8 guys would not be that bad, just a slow drawn out day if you ask me.
The more we can run, the better it would be, remember these race days are all 2 weeks apart,, I wanna RUN MAN!
