Cut all that secret squirel crap, give us noobs some insight to gearing up a 2 speed and Diff. It's more fun when Racing Is some what competitive. I got a cat In the UK willing to make me some custom alloy gear sets and diff gears. I'm not sure what gear sizes to go with. Couldn't find anything on google.

It all depends on the size of the track or what it will be used for.

132ft you cant do much, a single speed is the best way to go.
330ft you need to gear different, but going to big will raise your MPH, but kill your ET, so you may end up running 70+mph and loosing to cars running 64.

Hmmmmm........very interesting, I'm not sure If My marder Is suited for 132, I have a 46t on the diff, but with a 50 won't modifications be needed to the layshaft gear? I believe my first gear Is 48/16.

Now you say that you have a 46 tooth on the diff Idea did you put that on the diff yourself Question because the FG Marder comes from the factory with a 48

Youre definetly going to have to buy a few gears before figure out what you want. Experiment with as much as possible for the distance youre running and it will all come together. Get your motor, pipe and tune right before you start getting gears. Im not sure of the distance youre running but if its 132, it might be too short.

Yeah, I'm not sure about 132ft, I may try 330ft .As custom Gear sets aren't cheap, my room to experiment Isn't large. I'm sure the pipe, motor and tires will also contribute greatly to what I achieve.
