Pete have you considered taking off the pull start and replace with a nice billet pulley belt start?

Always appreciate the input, that's why we list stuff in the projects section of forums so guys can comment, but just so we are clear, I am not making a shelf piece and I am not building the car for anyone but me and my liking.
The cars I have are cars to use, I want to be able to bring this car anywhere I want and be able to start it up and drive it around, I purposely don't have 15 projects, I want to complete the cars I want 1 at a time and get the job done.
This car didn't need much more then refreshing and I am not looking to reinvent the wheel....

On another note, there are 2 things I hate, one is sprint cars, the other is anything nitro, so I wouldn't consider putting anything other then a gas motor in my cars or I would make an exception for a 3rd generation Conley, but that's it.
I know the Saito is a four stroke, but they look more like an outboard boat motor to me.

This isn't a fancy race car, that's not what I am looking to pro-ject, this car is more of what you would see at a local hotrod car show and that's exactly what I am looking to achieve.
Next project????? 49 Merc ! woohoo

That's cool Pete but as for me I like to achieve realism that's why I'm on the other side of the spectrum of this hobby. I hate the generic stuff built by the top manufacturers of yesterday it's not scale whatsoever as far as the components go so I try to fool the eye with some modification. But that Conely rear you have is amazing!!

Right now I have 4 projects going on and they are in the final stages, well somewhat. I can't stay on just one project because I'll get tired and loose inspiration but that's just me and that's what happened with my 32 ford, I got burnt out, I'll be posting some photos of it soon and my 1960'ish Indy Roadster, this will have a Saito for lack of real estate under the hood. My corvette is done all it needs is a nice paint job. I just finished my 1/14 scale tractor and tanker that i'll show you at WRAM.

Can't wait to see your car Pete when it's done.
