Came out nice, I agree that gun metal color is a nice alternative. Curious though about the welds, is that New Era welds or was this frame repaired or altered?

Thats all new era welds..........Its a shame.........I was going to grind them and wash them with the tig machine before painting and didnt do it..........Now, Im kicking myself in the ass..........This is why I prefer to make my own chassis. Its going to get a grind and wash but not untill I play with it a while.

PostSubject: All togather   Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:23 am

Finally got it all back togather......Althou I have enough chain for five cars I need to find a master link for the chain...I broke it when i was re-assembling it Sad Car came with an extra sprocket(gear) that is a different size. I think the smaller sprocket (gear ) would make it take off quicker but lose top end speed..

I have decided to have a good friend make a mold of the corvette body. The body is OK but I want more detail in it being the corvette guy I am. Soo we are going to make a mold of the original body and rework those bodies. The front end is to square and the rear is to high and boxie looking... But the good news is Ill have a mold for the originall corvette Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

    Yea I know.........Finish a project.........Finish something........lol Soo much to do....

I still can't believe the welds, I think I weld better then that. Anyway looks good with the foam tires. Cleaned up very nicely.

Gotta take this one out of the box and see if the New Era Firebird/TransAm will fit out on it
