When it comes to drag racing, ever oz you can remove from your car will help you.
Being we don't run for hours upon hours, the size of the battery don't matter.
Well, on the other hand, it does, the bigger the MAH pack you buy, usually the heavier it is, most onroad track guys don't run anything more then a 2500 or 3000 pack for that reason.
Last season, I decided to make my own pack, using 5 AA rechargeable 2400mah batteries, after completion, you'll notice a big drop in weight and the battery has lasted me all of last season without fail.
All it takes is a little work with a solder gun, some wire and time, after completion you can wrap the battery with black electrical tape.
This will save you alot of weight over one of the standard packs.
I have used these batteries for 2 hours of run time with no problem.

Any pointers, just send me an email if you need.

Good luck

Thanks Pete! First, I wanna see where I stand against some of the guys after I get my car dialed In how I want. I'll just buy a smaller pack for now. Later on If need be I'll make one up. You are definitely a master fabricator! lol!

Listen, what you see on here with all the hot air coming out of most of these guys mouths, is nothing to worry about.
This season is gonna be so different and better, with a much large field of competition, different rules and a more serious but fun look at it, I think everyone will have a shot at the title.

The dates have just been posted here : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I will also send out a mass email with all dates and rules for the coming season.
Modo, remember one thing, everyone is in the same boat right now, without testing what your running on that track, nobody knows the results of the work there doing now.
So best thing to do, is be prepared to make changes and get ready for our first test and tune day.

Thanks Pete I saw the rules, there pretty cool. My work schedule unfortunately only allows me 2 sundays a month off. I work late afternoons so If the racing times are early enough, I may get out there and run before I go In.

I have a Pro Match pack in my 5b right now but thats only because it came with the buggy LOL

I spent a good part of the late night last night reading around here, you guys have now gotten me thinking about doing some serious racing just for fun though! I searched around Ebay and Craigslist last night for a 5b roller and I plan to find one more sooner then later. Going to make that the race buggy so I can come out to the track and have some fun with you guys! Man they werent joking when they said this was an ADDICTION!!
