so i bought the alum engine mount for fg truck.now the part that has the bearing for the shaft to go through seems a bit higher to the rear chassis brace (the plate that screws on top of the engine mount).did i buy the wrong part?am i missing something?and also i cant get the layshaft out.the spur gear wont come off.after takin out the set screws ..can u pls help?!

It sounds like you bought the Large engine mount with the high post, that it used for when your using an adjustable diff. See that Large engine mount that you have is alittle higher in the back where the diff case mounts, because when you use the adjustable diff, that diff needs diff risers because of the lip that the diff has. I have some diff risers here that I'm not using that I can sell to you. Another thing your layshaft will come out, it is alittle hard because you have a brand new bearing in there that grabs the layshaft when you slide it in. Spay a little bit of WD40 on the bearing and layshaft and it should come right out, because they all do that.

diff risers??what about the rear parts do i need to change stuff too??man that sux i thot theres only 2 small or large.it didnt say about risers ..and what effect will it have if i get diff risers?

i honestly dont know coz i got it at ebay ..i got the large and small mount ..thats all it says..thanks for confirming the part..
