I know this site is not "tuned" for electrics, but I though I would post this for anyone that might be interested....
Several months ago we started a build of a prototype 1/4 scale funny car using all new parts and
very little RC equipment in the power train. The final production will be two cars, one for Tammy and one for me.
These are built for speed, with some realism thrown in to keep them "Honest".
It will not be anything like some of the realistic cars I see on here, but are meant just for some really fun drag racing.
Hers will be metallic blue ( Speed Demon) and mine will be metal flake Orange ( Orange Crush)

We were hoping to have both done by now.
Since we have WAY too much torque than we need, and since the car is a bear to handle,
it was decided to throw a coat of primer, some appropriate Skull and Cross bones
( I am Retired NAVY) and do the testing with some fun to boot.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It is a Molly tube frame,
large LifePo4 Batteries, Kart wheels/tires, disk brakes and a 4.5HP (at least) Brushed motor.
The controller can be computer programmed for any type of track condition.

to do between the rain and snow was try to get it to stick.
Much to my neighbors amusement, many donuts were done out front of our home.
Florence Bound:
First off, we want to thank Ted Allred at the Florence Track for helping us out, putting up with our ill handling car,
and trying his best to keep the track sticky in some of the worst of pollen we have seen in years.

Most of the passes were not worth timing as I was concentrating on going straight, but it was all good as we
remedied several small issues you get from a car with this much HP and little traction. We will be getting some traction compound
or different tires, gear changes and a few other things before the next event so we can maximize the speed information.
