Ok, drag racers...I see big money in these beautifull tube chassis, quickchange, nitrous cars...but in my opinion, the guy who goes back to chain/belt drive with a 2 speed , WILL BE KING...i'm actually surprized that Bob S. does'nt run one...Quickchange rear doe's look cool, but I think on a race prepped surface, a 2 sd will win every time..(assuming these cars weigh at least 30lb.)

I'm not trying to pic a fight,, just trying to relieve my cabin fever chatting with you guys as the snow keeps piling up outside....lol

Actually, I am. I have all the parts, just need to figure the layout when the chassis is a little further along... I'm hoping the oneway bearing that I chose will hold up long enough for good testing..

not sure what type of desige your going with but the brcp 2 speed has dual 1 ways, ya just can't kill those...a system with only 1 might not be able to last very long with the weight of a quarter scale..not sure.

All of my cars are chain drive, My 2 speed weighs 6.4 lb. and has 4 bearings. My dragster is quicker without the 2 speed. 28 lb and 80cc.
