Harleyfreak, i have no clue on how to move it to the rc projects section. LOL, It was only a suggestion anyway. I have the same black chassis that i was going to convert to a prostock. I was going to leave the chassis stock but now im thinking of changing it. I know where i can get a new factory full roll cage chassis, but i like your idea better. Any idea how the weight is going to be. More or less than factory? Roger.

Hey Roger, So far the weight is less. But i still have the rear to make up before i can say it will end up lighter or not. I have planned for this to be a pro stock truck and intend on having the roll cage entend thru the bed area. I will keep you updated on the weight factor.

Harley, are you using a jig to keep it square? what about the tube bending, are you adding heat. Im looking at bending some tubing this weekend with and with out heat to experiment. Roger.

Hey Roger, Yeh i made a jig before i cut the frame down and have been adding to the jig as i go along with the design. As for bending, I'm using thin walled molly tubing and setting my bends with a yellow jacket bender and no heat at all.
I prefer to gas weld over mig or tig because of heat control.
Let me know if you need any help with yours

John, i just got a gas set up today. My plan is to mig tack, then braze to finish. But first i need to practice, practice, then practice again. Roger.
