| Here are some pics of my Pacesetter funny car the day I took it out of the box. It's in real good shape and did not need much to get running. I rebuilt the carb and have most of the electronics done and it fires right up. Next steps, finish electronics, finish exhaust, work on body. | Progress!! Fired it up today and did a little run down the street with no body. I need to tweak on the carb screws a little bit but not too bad. It's almost done. Just need to finish the exhaust, wheelie bar, and chutes. I'm going to wait 'till the car is done and driving good before I start on the body. I just did some quick decals and windows for now. I will have video up soon. | I made the wheelie bar tonight. Since they are just for looks, I made them out of carbon fiber tubes. It's light as a feather! | Sunday night update. Got the spoiler built and mounted. I think the body is about as far as I am going to go for now 'till it's time to paint it. The final step is the exhaust. It came with zoomies, but I think they were made for a different chassis/engine. I don't know if I am going to make them work, or do something else. Here is the latest pics: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I brought the car up to Brained for the NHRA Div. 5 event. It was a hit!! I ran it up and down the pits a few times, and people came to watch from all over. The opening chutes was the kicker. I went up to the starting line to take some pics hoping security would not chase me away. Sure enough here comes a BIR truck and a guy gets out, the OWNER of BIR, Jed. He gets out, does not say a word, walks over to the car and looks at it.... Jed--"Who's car is this?????" Me-- "It's mine......" Jed-- "Does it run????" Me--"Yeah" Jed--"Fire that puppy up and run it!!! I want to see it go!" So not only did I get to take some pics of it on the track, I ran it right on the dragstrip.
