After 20 yrs. I'am starting my 2nd 1/4 scale build.I've wanted to build a dragster after seeing the RAGIN' RED funny car back then.My first build was a stock car.I'am hoping to start welding next week. And thanks to Roger for helping me with some questions I had.

Right now it's the Raco gearbox. But as the build progresses that might change. Thanks.

Thanks, It looks pretty good so far.Does the wing look to big? It's 20" across by 6" deep. The rear tracking is 20". Any suggestions for the clutch and drive shaft assembly. It has the Raco gearbox.I've seen 2 alternatives for this setup.Thanks.

Hi, I have my body theme for the dragster.I've had it for awhile. I'am starting the form for the body tomorrow.Again it's the Avro Arrow. Same paint scheme,I haven't decided on the number yet. It will have a enclosed canopy that will open and the air intakes on the side. The design for the rear deflectors will have the delta wing along the bottom. If some of you are not sure or don't know what it looks like, here are 2 videos. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I'am hoping to have it running some time in October.I'am waiting for front wheels from Bob in a couple of weeks. So I can't finish the mounts for the axle until the wheels are here.I'll make the body over the winter.I'll do a mockup using balsa wood. Then either use that as a mould or I'll find someone to make it from aluminum. At least with balsa I can make changes as I go along.

I know what you mean about nobody else. I have the same problem here in the far south. I thought there was going to be a 1/4 scale player here in town, but he didnt last long and already sold the cars he bought a couple months ago.
